On Tuesday, mansionmiami.com read: "MANSION IS CLOSED."

Fans freaked out ("WTF? So pissed") and South Beach haters rejoiced ("Finally!!! That club was garbage") while others just shrugged.

But we here at Crossfade suspected that the Opium Group nightclub was simply pulling a practical joke on the clubbing public, shuttering temporarily to give that "seven-year-old SoBe bitch ... a facelift."

Well, we were right. And just now, the Mansion website has been hijacked by an ad for a two-night reopening party with Deadmau5.

‎The club also announced its meeting with the Mau5 via Facebook:

Mansion Nightclub opens its doors with deadmau5, presenting his "unhooked" show. See the new Mansion 360 featuring the most comprehensive sound and lighting system ever experienced after Mansion's multi-million dollar renovation. Join Deadmau5's Unhooked, a once in a life-time 2 Day event under one roof.

So ... How many among you club rats took the bait, ate the cheese, got trapped in Mansion's viral marketing maze?

Deadmau5 Unhooked and Mansion Reopening Party. Friday, January 20, and Saturday, January 21. Mansion, 1235 Washington Ave., Miami Beach. The party starts at 10 p.m. and tickets cost $80 to $100 plus fees via wantickets.com. Ages 21 and up. Call 305-695-8411 or visit mansionmiami.com.
