Over the last month, the New York Police Department's been rife with scandal.

In late October, a gang of current and former NYPD patrolmen were busted for a million-dollar conspiracy to transport blackmarket M-16s and handguns across state lines. A week later, 16 crooked cops were booked by the Bronx District Attorney for widespread ticket-fixing. And then on November 1, Brooklyn narcotics detective Jason Arbeeny was convicted of planting crack cocaine on an innocent Coney Island couple, just for kicks and a collar.

Dude, the department is dirty! But if you want real proof that NYC cops are fucking corrupt, just watch the Black Lips' new video for "Raw Meat," starring the psychedelic garage punks as New York police officers with out-of-control criminal tendencies.

Mirroring the real-life NYPD's gun-smuggling, ticket-fixing, drug-dropping boys in blue, the Lips' Cole, Jared, Ian, and Joe don the uniform, grab a billy club, load their guns, polish that badge, and go cruising for trouble through the trash-filled, black-and-white streets of New York City at midnight.

They hassle street prostitutes, play some Russian Roulette, totally waste crime scene tape, lick a little nightstick, shout obscenities over the radio, flash double-fisted "Fuck You" fingers at passerbys, shake down prisoners for cash, unnecessarily discharge their firearms in densely populated urban areas, and keep the damn siren screaming all night.

Basically, it looks like your standard NYPD corruption report.
