Contrary to popular belief, Miami is not part of South America. Nor is it in Europe. But that's not stopping MTV from kicking off its Europe Music Awards with a special live pre-party, straight from the Klipsch Amphitheater at Bayfront Park.
The big show is being staged in Glasgow, Scotland, but the shindig heats up here with performances from VMA Artist to Watch winners Fifth Harmony, Miami's locally-grown Jake Miller, and Nick Jonas, previously known as the eldest Jonas Brother, of course. Plus, Nick Cannon and Awkward's Molly Tarlov will be there.
Tickets to the event are totally free. Disclaimer: Tween screams may be heard from at least three miles away.

Why is MTV doing this? We can't be sure, but why the hell not?
Our weather is fabulous. The Klipsch is a great performance space, where (duh) Ultra Music Festival goes down. And after the EMA kickoff, attendees will be treated to a big screening party, so they can catch the whole show.
Just be sure to dress appropriately, because you may see your smiling, screaming, or crying face on TVs and Internets as soon as production wraps.
"I am so honored to not only be co-hosting the EMA kick off special, but also to be sharing my music and performing," Jake Miller said in a press release. "It is a dream come true. Can't wait to see you all there!"
C'mon, Miami, don't leave the kid hanging. Go and support a local guy made good. It costs you nothing, after all.
