If there was ever an underrated musician out there, it's Mr. Oizo. While he gained a bit of notoriety thanks to his track, "Flat Beat," and its adorable video star, Flat Eric, Oizo has always been a behind-the-scenes kind of man. When he isn't busy directing films or commercials, he's producing music for the likes of Uffie.

Even throughout the rise of Ed Banger and French electro-house, he took a backseat to the superstars of the genre like Justice and SebastiAn. But that was 2007, and ask yourself, "Where is Justice now?" Who knows. Honestly, who cares!

Mr. Oizo has got more than enough talent to keep the Ed Banger flag flying high. And while he's booked for Ultra Music Festival at the end of March, you can actually catch him earlier than that when he DJs at Grand Central January 29.

This is another collaboration between the venue and Paris's Respect is Burning -- the same people who brought you Breakbot in August. Our sources tell us you can expect a lot more from Respect is Burning at Grand Central in 2011. We can't wait!

Mr. Oizo with Mike Deuce, Jessica Who?. Grand Central, 697 N Miami Ave., Miami. Tickets $20 via Fla.vor.us; 18 and over. 305-377-2277 grandcentralmiami.com
