"Live fast, die young, and look good in your grave" is Mickey Avalon's motto. He has that brash, absurd, and sleazy L.A. white-rapper style that attracts a party crowd serious about its trucker hats and lipstick-stained, cut-up tank tops.

Avalon was discovered by former MTV VJ Simon Rex, who fostered his success, helped him build a West Coast fan base, and even occasionally performs with him. Avalon's self-titled solo debut dropped in 2006. And since then, he has made a name for himself in the industry. Hell, his "Mr. Right" video features a cameo by hotel heiress Paris Hilton — a sure sign of success.

Raised by an Orthodox Jewish drug-dealer mom and a heroin-addict dad, he also spent time tricking and using drugs. And with that kind of rough and troubled youth, Avalon didn't need to dig too deep for the raunchy and controversial material that would feed his future lyrics. But even with songs like "My Dick," Avalon is a dad who seems like a stand-up dude just trying to have a good time and do his thing.
