No Work Fest 2015. Starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, November 6, with Holly Hunt, Bishop Sleeve, Treasure Teeth, and GWAND at Sweat Records, 5505 NE Second Ave., Miami; 786-693-9309; sweatrecordsmiami.com. The party continues at 8 p.m. with Black Mayonnaise, Rat Bastard, the Jellyfish Brothers, Hellmass, Human Fluid Rot, Bruiser, Sponge, Menudo Death Squad, and In Oculus on Friday; and with Ironing, Gross, Meddling Kids, False Punk, Big Whatever, Kaya, Uchi, Squid Squad, and others on Saturday, November 7, 8 p.m. at Churchill's Pub, 5501 NE Second Ave., Miami; 305-757-1807; churchillspub.com. Admission costs $6 each day.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. We get it. We have to work in order to make a living. Sometimes, though, all you want to do is let loose and party. That's why we have Friday. Better yet, that's why the 305 has the No Work Fest. With nothing but live tuneage, noise, and plenty of head-banging for two days straight with Rat Bastard, the Jellyfish Brothers, and all the rock junkies at Churchill's, you'll be kickin' and screamin' your way through the weekend.

Jessica Hernandez & the Deltas. With Killmama. Friday, November 6, 10 p.m. Gramps, 176 NW 24th St., Miami; 305-699-2669; gramps.com. Tickets cost $5 plus fees via ticketfly.com

Jessica Hernandez may not want you to "Take [Her] Man to Idaho," but we believe she might feel differently about Florida — Miami, specifically. Reigning from the streets of Detroit, the "dark soul, gothic pop" singer and her crew are gonna be in for a pretty sunny surprise this weekend when the band comes face-to-face with 80-degree temperatures at Gramps. (Mind you, it's the first week of November). We can already sense Hernandez and the Deltas falling in love with the Magic City.

Xperimento. With Marlow Rosado & the Tucán Band and DJ Nuny. Friday, November 6, 8 p.m. El Tucán, 1111 SW First Ave., Miami; 305-535-0065; eltucanmiami.com. Admission costs $10. Ages 21 and up.

Get your dose of "Latin reggae urban soul" as Xperimento brings la rumba y el baile to the Magic City's cabaret-style theater, El Tucán. It's only been open for about a month, but El Tucán is already filling a Latin music hole in the Brickell nightlife market.

Surfer Blood. Part of the Good Measure Tour. Presented by Noise Pop, Joie de Vivre, and Boing Boing. Saturday, November 7, 6 p.m. The Hall, 1500 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; 305-531-1251; jdvhotels.com. Admission is free with RSVP via eventbrite.com.

It's not every day you get to see hometown heroes — who've attracted the attention of Pitchfork and even The Guardian with the release of their latest album, 1000 Palms — perform au gratis at a swanky hotel. But thanks to the Good Measure Tour, which focuses on featuring emerging artists in free shows, the 305 will be treated to the sweet sounds of Surfer Blood at the Hall this weekend for zero dollars and zero cents.

Sound of Ceres. With Candy Claws and Apples in Stereo. Saturday, November 7, 10 p.m. Gramps, 176 NW 24th St., Miami; 305-699-2669; gramps.com. Admission costs $5.

Discover the "dreampop" of Colorado's Sound of Ceres. "Exploring terrestrial realms such as the ocean, the forest, and the Mesozoic, Sound of Ceres," as written on their Facebook description, "expands to contemplate all of space and time, and the human place within it." Experience it for yourself at Gramps.

Rico Love. Saturday, November 7, 10 p.m. FDR at the Delano, 1685 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; 305-674-5752; delano-hotel.com. Admission is free. Ages 21 and up.

Turn the Lights On and immerse yourself in Rico Love's smooth, sexy vibes as the award-winning producer and rapper brings his provocative beats to the FDR. Hold on to your significant other. Things are going to get physical.

Octo Gato. With Mr. Jolt. Saturday, November 7, 11 p.m. Kill Your Idol, 222 Española Way, Miami Beach; 305-534-1009; facebook.com/killyouridolmiami. Admission is free. Ages 21 and up.

Give in to your feline fever with Octo Gato. As the only band — as far as we're concerned — to have ever created a cat-inspired video for its single "Superpuss," the Fort Lauderdale rockers will share their "laid-back, beach-rock sound and style with the masses" at Kill Your Idol.

Cherry Pop: Sidebar's One-Year Anniversary Edition. With Virgil Abloh, Pase Rock, and special surprise performances. Saturday, November 7, 9 p.m. Sidebar, 337 SW Eighth St., Miami; 786-703-6973; facebook.com/sidebarmiami. Admission is free. Ages 21 and up.

Sidebar's turning 1! And for its anniversary, the neighborhood watering-hole-meets-music-venue is going hard with 96 hours of nonstop beats, booze, and booty. On Saturday Kanye West's creative director, Off-White designer, and DJ — who goes by the name Flat White — will be manning the decks at the Brickell party spot, alongside homie Pase Rock. Here's to many more, Sidebar!

Burnski. In el Bolero Room. Saturday, November 7, 10 p.m. Electric Pickle, 2826 N. Miami Ave., Miami; 305-456-5613; electricpicklemiami.com. Admission is free before midnight with RSVP via eventbrite.com

"Deftly bridging vintage Detroit and Chicago," Burnski, as described on his Facebook bio, "is moving dance floors all over the world." This weekend, he'll be bringing that house charm to the 'Wood at the Pickle.

Ed Schrader's Music Beat. With Booty and the Browns, Other Body, Montage, and others. Presented by Cheap Miami Records, Sabotage, Kill Your Idol, and PBR. Sunday, November 8, 10 p.m. Kill Your Idol, 222 Española Way, Miami Beach; 305-534-1009; facebook.com/killyouridolmiami. Admission is free. Ages 21 and up.

Get a taste of some quality rock with Ed Schrader's Music Beat at Kill Your Idol. Described as "one of contemporary punk’s best examples of testing the possibilities," Ed and his crew will have you doing the "Televan" all night.
