Happy Memorial Day, party people!

Yes, today is the day when the nation remembers our fallen troops. But in the 305, it's also the day when Miami partiers raid Publix for subs and Coronas, hit the beach to show off their rock-hard bods, and kick off summer — as if there were any other season in South Florida.

Of course, though, it’s important to keep the long-weekend beach bash rolling right through the next seven days. That’s called an afterparty. And that's why New Times is hooking up with this week's five best concerts. Now go and take that bikini selfie.
Bondax' North American Tour. With special guests. Presented by Slap & Tickle. Thursday, May 28, 10 p.m., Bardot, 3456 N. Miami Ave., Miami; 305-576-7750; bardotmiami.com. Tickets cost $20 plus fees via showclix.com. Ages 21 and up. You may not "even know how [you] got here," but you know you "don't ever wanna leave." Sure, it's a paradox. But that's what usually happens when partying in the presence of English electronic music duo Bondax. From the moment you feel the bass pumping, you'll "throw [your] hands up to the sky, and let the music take [you] home." Wherever that is, you decide.

Pop it and lock it and "wax a chump like a candle" with the Legends of the Old School Concert as Miami bass OGs and ‘90s rap stars — like 2 Live Crew, Vanilla Ice, and Salt-N-Pepa — take over Boca's Mizner Park Amphitheater.
Melt-Banana. With Wastelands, Human Fluid Rot, Kenny Millions, and others. Friday, May 29, 9 p.m., Churchill's Pub, 5501 NE Second Ave., Miami; 305-757-1807; churchillspub.com. Admission costs $15.
