Psychedelic rock is the perfect soundtrack for your hot Miami summer night, with its enchanting melodies blending in with your own heat-induced hallucinations. This Saturday, you will have the chance to enjoy not only one, but three South Florida psych and garage bands at Bougainvillea's Old Florida Tavern (more commonly known as Bougies) in South Miami.

After organizing the Endless Summer minifestival at Churchill’s last month, local music blog Showskii is putting together Psych All Over You with live performances by Red Nectar, Wilkes Oswald (who recently released a new album), and up-and-coming power trio Peyote Coyote.

The show aims to acquaint locals with the psychedelic rock acts in our own backyard, many of which are new to the Miami music scene.

South Miami is a no man's land for many locals, but this Saturday is a good reason to make the drive (or Uber) down. If you are in the mood for escaping the regular Miami weekend plans — and the possibly Zika-infected areas of Midtown and Wynwood — the beloved Bougies has got you covered.

Psych All Over You with Red Nectar, Wilkes Oswald, and Peyote Coyote. 9 p.m. Saturday, August 6, at Bougainvillea's Old Florida Tavern, 7221 SW 58th Ave., South Miami; 305-669-8577; bougiesbar.com. Free With RSVP via eventbrite.com
