Miami's Best Concert of the Week: Literally Everything

After a somewhat slow month of concerts and the temporary dearth of big live acts in Miami that tends to come with summer, it seems that we’ve turned the corner and are barreling straight into the upcoming fall season with a calendar stuffed fuller than a burrito filled with the entire universe.

Because everyone ever is in South Florida this week.

Seriously. Don’t bother with rent because your paycheck belongs to the music now.

Tonight, Rick Ross will be celebrating his debut album's tenth anniversary with a live-streamed concert at the Port of Miami. Special guests will surely pop up. Watch along here: tidal.com/us/rickross. 

After that, on Tuesday and Wednesday, Miami and the American Airlines Arena will host the one Canadian vacationer we actually want in our neighborhood: Drake. He'll be performing along with drunken stutterer Future as part of the Summer Sixteen Tour.

For the club kids, both LIV and Story Nightclub have ponied up big bucks this Labor Day Weekend. LIV has Dillon Francis on Thursday and Pete Tong on Saturday, while Story slides in nicely on Friday with Kaskade.

But if your days of raging on ecstasy and twenty-dollar cocktails are behind you, maybe lying on the grass with a joint and ten-dollar beers is more your speed. Nineties alternative rock returns to Bayfront Park with the Goo Goo Dolls and Collective Soul for a team-up that’ll have anyone over the age of 30 crooning to the heavens.

In the mood for something heavier? Churchill's celebrates 37 years in business with five days and over 100 live acts.

If none of that does anything for you or if by some miracle you still have money left, 3 Days in Miami presents a trio of excellent concerts for the very un-Miami price of $15 (if you become a member of Red Bull Sound Select, that is — don't worry, it’s free). A$AP Ferg, Cashmere Cat, and AlunaGeorge fill out the roster of the 21-and-up event happening Thursday though Saturday. All three shows will be at the Hangar in Downtown for a healthy weekend of late-night shenanigans that’ll make us thankful, for once in our adult lives, for Monday to finally put an end to the debauchery.
