It's been a big week for local tropi-pop outfit Local 34. Only seven days ago, they were in L.A. to perform as part of the Viva Tu Musica With 5 competition, sponsored by Wrigley's 5 Gum. The band and four others were selected by fans online and performed before a panel of judges made up of pop-rock legend, Beto Cuevas of La Ley fame, all three members of the pop band Reik, and Latin bureau chief for Billboard magazine, Leila Cobo.

The good news: Local 34 took home top honors, beating out El Frente, Origen, Vanaz, and Por Que No? in the competition.

"We feel very proud of this distinction," says keyboardist and vocalist Aneudy Lara of the band's victory. "And at the same time, we're committed to continuing making quality music. We're very hopeful for the band's future."

Lara and his bandmates, guitarist-vocalist Dario Morillo, guitarist Mauricio Nava, and drummer Alfredo Vado are celebrating yet another milestone for the band this week: the launch of their brand new music video "No Me Importa Na." The band will be unveiling it this coming Thursday at Nowhere Lounge (653 Washington Ave., Miami Beach), as well as giving a live performance.

Check out some behind the scenes from the new video below.
