Since launching in 2009, the Miami Dance Party website has emerged as one of Miami's premier sources for local underground EDM. The weekly podcast showcases guest mixes by a bevy of local DJs and producers, from Miami staples like DJ SpinnZinn of 90.5 WVUM to resident favorites at hotspots like the Electric Pickle and Space.

Intent on guiding Miami through all that the scene has to offer, the website now also features an events calendar that EDM lovers can use to piece together their nightlife adventures.

The MDP folks will be celebrating their first year anniversary at Ecco Lounge in downtown Miami on November 13, and have gathered a special DJ lineup for the occasion, headlined by the world-renowned Kate Simko. The Chicago-based DJ-producer has been making waves on the international scene for the last couple years with releases on the esteemed Ghostly International and Spectral imprints, and she specializes in a funky, rhythmic hybrid of Chicago house and Detroit techno.

Listen to the latest MDP podcast featuring an advance DJ mix by Kate Simko that makes for a sweet taste of her upcoming performance.

Kate Simko with Alejandro Sab, Sebastian Cariaga, Justin Ryan, Kirk Jon. Saturday, November 13. Ecco Lounge, 168 SE 1st St., Miami. Free with RSVP at miamidanceparty.com. Call 305-960-1900 or visit eccomiami.com.
