"Ladies, leave your man at home/The club is full of ballas and they pockets full grown/And all you fellas, leave your girl with her friends/ Cause it's 11:30 and the club is jumpin', jumpin'."
Those lyrics are the opening lines and chorus to Destiny's Child party anthem "Jumpin', Jumpin'." And bro, did Beyoncé, LaTavia, Kelly, and LeToya put together a timeless classic or what?
Miami's DZA and the Peachfuzz crew think so. And they're bringing some of that early 2000s bounce back into your Hump Day with Jelly Wednesdays at Basement Miami.

"People underestimate how fun it is dancing to R&B," says DZA. "What I wanted to do is have an R&B party on the beach at a place that's appropriate, and Basement has one huge dance floor. It's either you dance or you're like, 'Alright, I don't wanna be here anymore.'"
He adds: "It's essentially gonna be an R&B party that incorporates [music from] the early 2000s," he continues. "Think of it as just another R&B party by the Peachfuzz crew.
"The idea is to also bring in performers in the name of Ja Rule, Mýa, whoever fits the vibe." Like Maseo of De La Soul, who kicked off Jelly Wednesdays last week.
Though the bash is definitely all about them jams and playing "everyone's favorite music," DZA says, from back in the day, there are always a few other surprises too.
"It's pretty much a dance party with accessories," he explains. "We're gonna have a photo wall, hip-hop dancers, and girls can bowl, skate, and drink alcoholic slushies for free."
Laid-back and low maintenance, that's the vibe. "It's a friendlier hip-hop party," DZA says. "People can come just to dance. You don't have to worry about getting a table or a bottle, just come and have fun. If you like it, great. And if you don't, that's cool too.
"The only reaction I want is people dancing. If people are having fun, it's a good party."
