As long-standing staples of the international EDM scene, German DJ-production duo Tiefschwarz have spanned the last two decades' worth of popular sounds -- from soulful deep house and gritty electro house, to dark minimal techno and back again.

Perhaps it's their adaptability and undying commitment to the cutting-edge that has kept brothers Ali and Basti Schwarz at the forefront of the scene and consistently popular with the kids.

As masters of the remix, Tiefschwarz have reworked the likes of Madonna, Depeche Mode and Missy Elliott, and as compilation mix specialists, they've left their fingerprints on the esteemed Fabric, Get Physical and Renaissance series.

Summer 2010 saw the release of the Chocolate LP, the pair's first artist album in several years. It continues their exploration of stripped-down house and techno with an emphasis on moody atmospheres and whimsical melodic themes.

Tiefschwarz fans can catch brother Ali representing the duo at Grand Central on Friday, February 11.
