Sadly, though, after we here at Crossfade implored you to "cancel whatever plans you've already made for Saturday, June 8, 2013, because Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks are getting the band back together" ...

Fleetwood Mac has gone and canceled on us.

Now the exact reasons for Mick, John, Lindsey, and Stevie skipping South Florida aren't especially clear.

But according to the official statement from Live Nation, the cause of this sudden cancellation was "an unexpected scheduling conflict":

Fleetwood Mac June 8th Show at Ft. Lauderdale's BB&T Center Cancelled

The June 8th Fleetwood Mac show at Ft. Lauderdale's BB&T Center has been cancelled due to an unexpected scheduling conflict.

The tour will resume on June l0th in Atlanta, Georgia. Ticket refunds will be issued at the point of purchase.

So far, there have been no additional explanations or elaborations offered via the band's official Facebook or Twitter.

Of course, though, the fans got lots to say ... Like Ms. Katie Joy Fink Grubbs, who succintly chides the Mac and its witchy frontwoman: "Way to ruin my day.....Uncool, Stevie, Uncool."

CANCELED Fleetwood Mac. Saturday, June 8, 2013. BB&T Center, 1 Panther Pkwy., Sunrise. The show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets cost $35.75 to $145.75 plus fees via ticketmaster.com. Call 954-835-8000 or visit thebbtcenter.com.
