It's Monday, and although it may feel like the end of the world, here are a few things to cheer you up.
El Heat made it to round three of the playoffs. Memorial Day is exactly one week from today, which means we'll have an extra day to party our asses off. And there are plenty of good concerts happening all week, from EDM to killer guitar arpeggios to reggae.

Benoit was once quoted saying, "For me, a good track either has an amazing sound, an amazing groove, or an amazing hook/melody. This goes for any genre." If that's the case, then all of Benoit & Sergio's tracks, which perfectly combine smooth beats, good vibes, and storytelling lyrics, are EDM masterpieces.
Yngwie Malmsteen. With Burning Heat and Martyrd. Saturday, May 25, 7 p.m., Grand Central, 967 N. Miami Ave., Miami; 305-377-2277; grandcentralmiami.com. Tickets cost $25 plus fees via ticketfly.com and $30 at the door. This guy blasts "Arpeggios from Hell" like a boss. Just a few minutes with the guitar master himself and your mind will be taken "Far Beyond the Sun." Guaranteed.
Best of the Best Concert. With Beres Hammond, Bennie Man, Freddie McGregor, Sanchez, Cocoa T., Mad Cobra, Singer J., Chronixx, Mega Banton, Elephant Man, Skinny Fabolous, Patrice Roberts, and others. What do you get when you combine one of Jamaica's greatest living singers with the "King of Dancehall" and other top reggae, dancehall, and soca artists? Only the Best of the Best. Literally.

Tickets cost $19-$25 plus fees via showclix.com. Ages 21 and over. The Gaslamp Killer is one raging ball of kinetic, beat-breaking energy and all he wants is that same energy in return. "I'm basically channeling all the energy from all the people that are around me, whether it's positive, negative, pain, pleasure, whatever they're experiencing," he tells Crossfade. "I can feel their energy. And I don't know exactly what it is, but it's pumped into me directly like a fucking drug in a needle, straight to my vein." Challenge accepted.
