South Florida will be Duran Duran's first mainland stop on their three- month North American tour. They're hitting 40 cities to buoy Astronaut, the first album from the "fab five" lineup of Simon LeBon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor, Andy Taylor, and Roger Taylor in twenty years. Gone, though, is the subtle storytelling of "Reflex" and "Rio," or even their Nineties hit, "Come Undone." LeBon's new lyrics are much more cliché and safe, telling listeners to reach up for a "new day" in "(Reach Up for The) Sunrise," and assuring them, "Everything will be all right in the end" in "What Happens Tomorrow." Visually, though, they don't seem to have aged much. These lipstick-and-eyeliner gods are still the archetypal poster boys of pop.
