Back in December, superpopular LARPer, international DJ, and dance music producer Deadmau5 announced that he would not be attending this year's Ultra Music Festival.

Laying out his grievances in a 12-minute YouTube video, the producer cited exorbitant ticket prices, exclusivity contracts, and repetitious lineups as chief motivations for his absence from the annual electronic music orgy.

But fortunately for Mau5keteers desperate to get a glimpse of that iconic oversized rodent helmet during Ultra and/or Winter Music Conference and/or Miami Music Week, their hero has just confirmed that he'll be playing a couple of SoBe gigs.

Crossfade was already a little suspicious when we started seeing promo for Mau5trap showcases at SoBe hotspots Amnesia and the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. And our hunches were fully confirmed when the parties' "Very Special Gue5t" turned out to be none other than ... Deadmau5!

Yet amid all of this Ultra bucking, it seems like the megafestival and one of its brand-name stars may soon be rekindling. The Mau5 and Sol Republic have announced that they'll be providing a free shuttle service this weekend, traveling between his South Beach performances and Bayfront Park.

Check out the Sol Republic site to find out more info about Deadmau5's free shuttle.
