Yesterday, we posed a simple question: Should we all forgive Chris Brown for slugging Rihanna and spewing homophobic slurs?

One commenter, Linda Green, told us we look like the "the biggest clown in town," and suggested we "get of [sic] chris [sic] dick."

Solea74 was also quick to voice an opinion. "Chris Brown couldn't sing his way out of a wet paper bag," adding, "the sad truth is that there millions of other talented people out there ... who will never get a moment of attention ... because they do not beat their partners."

Clearly, these folks are not ready to let bygones be bygones. But in the spirt of second chances, we want to report on something the "Look at Me Now" singer did that was incredibly sweet.

Chris Brown ate cake with a fan.

Brown was in Cincinnati last night and made good on a promise to reward the fan who returned his $22,000 Rolex. As TMZ reports, the singer met with the good Samaritan before his concert and "invited her to hang with him and his entourage before the show to eat some cake." He threw in two tickets and an autograph to boot.

If you remember, during his VMA performance, Brown missed his target, and tossed the diamond-encrusted wristwatch into the crowd. The singer thought for sure he'd thrown away 22 large. Nevertheless, he sent bodyguards into the audience to see if they'd have any luck finding his bling.

Low and behold, one very honest person turned in Breezy's watch. Good move? Totally. Cake, an autograph, and two free tickets to Chris Brown show is so much better than a Rolex.

Chris Brown with T-Pain and Tyga. Wednesday, October 5. American Airlines Arena, 601 Biscayne Blvd., Miami. The show starts at 7 p.m. and tickets cost $36.75 to $147.75 plus fees via ticketmaster.com. Call 786-777-1000 or visit aaarena.com.
