Calvin Harris Created Disco in 2007. He was Ready for the Weekend in 2009. Then he "Found Love" with Rihanna in 2011. And now he's shutting 2012 down in Miami-Dade County.

The Scottish DJ-producer will ring in the New Year with a headlining set at LIV, and he'll be supported by London dubstepper Jacob Plant, according to the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotspot.

New Times' pick for Best Dance Club 2012 announced the performance over the weekend via its Facebook page.

And for Harris, it will be sort of homecoming.

The "Feel So Close" aural architect has seemingly spent more time at the Fontainebleau picking up "The Girls" than any other DJ we know.

Harris has been the main act at LIV multiple nights this year, as well as part of this past summer's iHeartRadio Pool Party lineup.

It will, however, be his first New Year's Eve at LIV. But don't expect him to just press play.

"I don't know any DJ [who] actually does that," Harris recently tweeted in response to a BBC Radio 1 "Newsbeat" article that he alleges misquotes him.

The story's writer, Harris argues, asked whether it was OK for DJs to play records, not whether or not it was okay to play pre-recorded sets.

"Looking into taking action on @BBCNewsbeat for that [libelous] broadcast," Harris said in a tweet. "Fact is @BBCNewsbeat pre recorded my answers to a different set of questions. The guy wasn't even wearing a fucking mic."

Maybe the BBC should add 'stop making shit up' to its New Year's resolution to 'stop covering shit up.'

Calvin Harris's New Year's Eve. With special guest Jacob Plant. Monday, December 31. LIV, 4441 Collins Ave., Miami Beach. The party starts at 9 p.m. and tickets cost $275 to $375 plus fees via wantickets.com. Ages 21 and up. Call 305-674-4680 or visit livnightclub.com.
