But when you throw in Gin Blossoms, Tracy Morgan, Bret Michaels, and cocktails, you're in for the Ultimate Miami Weekend at Magic City Casino.

Going down November 7 through 9, the 305's most talented will compete against one another for the title of Miami's Ultimate Band, Bartender, and Voice and the chance to win $5,000.

"Ultimate Miami... was created to highlight and showcase Miami's local talent in a range of fields," says Sandra Rodriguez, an Ultimate Miami rep.

Going into its second year, the music- and liquor-fueled duel will be a three-part competition.

The first step is the registration process. Those who make it past round one get to battle in a series of matches.

The finalists who win those feuds get to share the stage with one of the headlining acts, Gin Blossoms, Tracy Morgan, or Bret Michaels, depending on their category, and "face each other in the competition to end all competitions" -- Ultimate Miami Weekend.

Ultimate Miami Rock Band. With Gin Blossoms. Thursday, November 7, 9 p.m. Do you think it'd be all right if the Gin Blossoms could just crash the Ultimate Miami Rock Band? We doubt the contestants would want the Arizona band to steal their thunder, but "Hey Jealousy," maybe its so-called "Mill Avenue sound" will motivate them to rock even harder. May the best band win.

Ultimate Miami Bartender. With Tracy Morgan. Friday, November 8, 8:30 p.m. Pardon [His] French... but Tracy Morgan's "a nasty motherf**ker!" So brace yourself for what could be one of the funniest (or misogynist?) bartending competitions you'll ever attend. We're pretty sure he'll turn up the heat and push these bartenders to the limit.

Ultimate Miami Voice. With Bret Michaels. Saturday, November 9, 9 p.m. Sure, we may make fun of Poison's former frontman, the star of Rock of Love, and the man behind Pets Rock, an exclusive line of toys for PetSmart. But one thing's for sure: Bret Michael's got some pipes. And lucky for you, you'll get to see and hear him do his thang on stage once again.
