Miami will remain on the cutting edge of music for at least another year after it kicks off the fourth annual Heineken TransAtlantic Festival with Bajofondo Remixed. Over eighteen long seasons, the Rhythm Foundation has presented acts that blend traditional indigenous music with the latest electro flavors. Call it techno excavation, pomo primitivism, or (if you're feeling salty) cultural imperialism. It's music that makes purists cringe, hipsters salivate, and booties shake, and it also exposes young people to music they might otherwise ignore. Bajofondo Remixed features members of Bajofondo Tango Club, which made its debut in Miami during last year's festival.
