Shark Valley

Miami can get a little claustrophobic. But when that boxed in feeling strikes, we're lucky to have lots of wilderness right around the corner in the way of the Everglades. Just a short drive away, this natural paradise is all you need to reconnect with Mother Nature. And at Shark Valley, you can spend plenty of time with your muse. There's a 15-mile paved loop perfect for strolling or bike riding -- along with several more rustic side trails along the way. At the end is a tower. Make your way up and its greenery as far as the eye can see. A nice respite from Miami's urban madness.
