Freedom Tower

Whether bedecked with colorful alligators for Art Basel or just standing as a beacon beneath the Miami sun, this 17-foot classic structure has serious landmark status. The Miami Tower, constructed in 1925 in downtown, once served as an immigration station for Cuban refugees. Today, it's part of Miami-Dade College's Wolfson campus, and it's used for everything from major events and screenings to rotating art exhibitions.
