With all the crazy shit people have done only a month into the New Year you might call 2011 the Year of the Asshole. To the Chinese, however, it’s the Year of the Rabbit, which will be celebrated at Café Sambal at Brickell Key’s uber-swanky Mandarin Oriental hotel. There will be a lion dance, Asian music, complimentary fortune telling and a good luck packet, as well as Asian style delectables like assorted dim sum, pepper-crusted Kurobuta pork with noodles and black mushrooms, and Peking duck. In Chinese culture, the rabbit supposedly signifies all that is wise, serene and considerate, qualities in pretty short supply in this year’s assholes.
