What should you expect at the collaborative performance by boundary-breaking choreographers Wally Cardona and Jennifer Lacey, Tool Is Loot? A swan, a prince, a robot, sexual behavior, and two chairs — sometimes all at once, according to the duo. But that, of course, is simplistic and hardly conveys the creative endeavor in store for this Saturday’s Florida premiere, courtesy of Tigertail Productions at the Colony Theatre. More than a year ago, New York-based Cardona and Paris-based Lacey sought out suggestions for dance from decidedly nondance people, including a medical supply salesperson, an astrophysicist, a social activist, and others. The collective choreographed result: Lacey’s date with a chair and Cardona’s interpretation of an Indian’s prince’s affair, along with other bits, set to an original soundtrack from composer Jonathan Bepler. When the two took their production to the stage at the Kitchen in New York City in September, the New York Times fell hard, calling it “deviously beautiful.”
