It is not often that the most superstitious day of the year happens during the spookiest month of the year. Jason Voorhees? Michael Meyers? Theyre just a couple of normal guys tonight. Forget the slasher flicks and get your pre-Halloween partying on at Broadway Billiards (17813 Biscayne Blvd., Aventura) tonight at 7:00 for the Hollywood Homicide Costume Ball and Concert in celebration of Friday the Thirteenth. Old-school gore gal Dinah Cancer will rise from her coffin to perform with her band 45 Grave; supporting acts Trashlight Vision and Death Becomes You will also perform their brand of horror punk and death rock. At the stroke of midnight, you might see a resurrected Marilyn Monroe or River Phoenix, as patrons are encouraged to dress as their favorite deceased celebrities for cash and prizes. Even the dead can dance to industrial music spun by DJ 16bit, Tek-Z, and Retroaktiv. Admission for the afterparty is seven dollars. Call 954-822-6350, or visit www.myspace.com/vampfridays.
