To put things in perspective, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are two senior citizen skeletons that haven't put together so much as a satisfying fart in the past 20 years. It's sad considering the scuzzy genius of late-'60s and early-'70s stuff like Let It Bleed and Exile on Main Street. But c'mon, let’s face it: The Rolling Stones are pretty much a tribute act by now.
So why pay $250 to see Mick and Keith perform live? Check out Fort Lauderdale's Roll the Stones: A Tribute to the Music of the Rolling Stones instead. The eight-piece band will play a free show at the Van Dyke Café this Monday. There will be no costumes, no cabaret, no bullshit. In other words, you’ll get to hear "Satisfaction" without Jagger or some look-alike stripping to shake his old-man bones.
