There may be no better image of passion and romance than a couple dancing the tango. In a close embrace, the two gently graze against each other in sensuous movement that flows as naturally as water. The rest of us may not be so swanlike on the dance floor, but practice makes perfect at Tango Tuesdays at the Amadeus Bar in the Ritz-Carlton.
Monica Llobet, world-champion tango dancer and hostess of the event, instructs those whose footwork is less than fancy from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m. for ten dollars. After the class patrons can show off what they have learned as the bar is transformed into a Buenos Aires milonga, or in inglés, a tango party. Dance the night away as the DJ plays tango, vals, and other Latin beats. Valet parking is eight dollars.
