All things considered, Paul McCartney should be thoroughly enjoying his 2007 birthday celebration. The year started out rough for the preternaturally baby-faced songwriting legend, with a messy divorce from uni-legged model-turned-Dancing with the Stars loser Heather Mills. But Macca is out of the tabloids for now, having recently come to a point of agreement with his soon-to-be ex-wife for the sake of their daughter Beatrice. Reports from London indicate that the estranged couple will even celebrate McCartney’s 65th birthday together. Earlier this year, Sir Paul also went through a musical divorce, by separating from longtime label EMI and becoming the first artist to sign to coffee mega-conglomerate Starbucks’ new record label, Hear Music.

Things seem to be “Getting Better” for the former Beatle. The buzz on his new album, Memory Almost Full, is as strong as the coffee his new label shills. And to herald the arrival of McCartney’s new music, Starbucks is hosting an unprecedented global listening event today. More than 10,000 Starbucks stores around the world will play the album all day long, and diehard local fans have an extra-special opportunity.
