Flip through your favorite gossip rag or the pages of Ocean Drive magazine. If you see a photo of a celebrity smiling at some Miami hotspot, Seth Browarnik probably had something to do with it.

As the man behind World Red Eye, Browarnik has been shooting celebrities and local nightlife for the past 13 years. In December, the 32-year-old photographer debuted his series "Art of Night" at the newly renovated Shelborne Beach Resort.

The exhibit was a certified hit, with seemingly every celebrity within a 10-mile radius in attendance. Now Browarnik is a back with a second edition, dubbed "Art of Night: The DJ Series" presented by Hennessy Black. This time, his lens is focused squarely on the people who give us a reason to visit the nightclub.

"We were kind of conflicted on using the name 'Art of Night' or not," says Browarnik when asked about the similarity to his previous Basel exhibit. "This DJ exhibition was basically to bring more awareness to World Red Eye and what World Red Eye has been doing."

The December show featured only Browarnik's work, but this time around about a third of the 25 images come from World Red Eye army of shooters.

"My goal here, more than to sell pieces, is to show the evolution of the DJ and show where focus turned into pop culture, and why these guys are paid more than rockstars. They are the new rockstars of this era," he explains.

Browarnik, of course, has seen the evolution of the DJ from simple button pusher to pop phenomenon firsthand.

"The way I started, in '99, was I actually was very into DJing back then," he explains. "I was into electronic music and I started really going out when I was 19 and wanting to hear these big DJs and the electronic music."

The love of nightlife and dance music has led Browarnik to shoot some of the biggest names in EDM like Tiësto, Deadmau5, Steve Aoki, Danny Tenaglia, and Sasha & Digweed. When asked which one is his favorite shot, he doesn't hesitate to answer.

"[The] Yoko Ono and Danny Tenaglia one. When people ask me what my favorite photo is of all time, I would have to say it's probably that photo. We didn't put it in [Basel's] 'Art of Night' because we wanted to save it for this and to have that big piece. That's really to me the piece that sets the tone for this."

On Thursday and Friday Browarnik will celebrate the exhibit's debut with invitation-only, A-list gatherings. But not to worry, you can visit the photo collection at your leisure. Just walk up to the front desk and ask (nicely) to check out "Art of Night," which will be on display until Sunday.

"Art of Night: The DJ Series." Thursday, March 22 to Sunday, March 25. Shelborne Beach Resort, 1801 Collins Ave., Miami Beach. Admission is free. Visit worldredeye.com.
