You probably only recently recovered from the time you spent with your family during the holidays. Your mother persistently asked when you're getting married, your father tried to push the Republican presidential candidates on you, and your sister's 4-year-old wouldn't take a break from his shrill screaming. Family drama is something we all understand, and it's what Winter is all about.

The play, written by Robert Caisley, focuses on "deliciously despicable" twins who were never particularly close to their mother. What begins as a scheduling conflict while arranging their mother's funeral develops into bad blood between the twins and their mother's young, live-in assistant.

Under the direction of Ricky J. Martinez, Winter explores family relationships, life, death, and character transformation. The family affair comes together with Scott Douglas Wilson and Annemaria Rajala playing twins Peter and Christina Winter, and Barbara Sloan as their mother. Nicole Quintana makes her New Theatre debut as the live-in assistant.
