There are some things that would only exist in Miami: Tremenda Mierda statues. Face-eating zombies. LED strippers on the sides of buildings.

The latter, of course, refers to the infamous "Dancing Lady" who graces downtown's InterContinental Hotel. The 200-foot-tall dirty dancer is really anything but a lady. And now the harlot's days are officially numbered.

The hotel is hosting a "Dance Off" to find someone with moves smooth enough to grace the city skyline. And this time, it could even be a dancing dude.

All genres of dance and both sexes are welcome at the November 21st audition, which ought to make for a hell of a spectacle.

The judges are looking for creativity and dancing skill (obvs). One tip from the folks at the InterContinental: the digital canvas is long and tall, so dancers should try to use moves that work within that context.

But who's choosing the city's new dancing fool? Judges include Jane Castro from VH1, plus members of the Miami City Ballet and the Miami Heat. In addition to winning a city-sized replica of themselves, the champ will score a staycation package from the hotel. And as far as the technology behind the concept, the hotel's crew will film the winner in front of a green screen to create the new digital dancer.

So come on Miami, strap on those dancing shoes. Let's class up that city skyline a notch, shall we?

The audition kicks off on Thursday, November 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the InterContinental; the walk-up line begins forming along the hotel's baywalk at 7 a.m. Contestants must be 18 or older, and the first 200 RSVPs will be accepted online (RSVP here) Plus, the first 200 dancers in line at 7 a.m. on the 21st will be guaranteed a tryout. Auditions are free and open to the public.
