As Hurricane Matthew makes its way north, Miami is living in a state of limbo: Will school be canceled? Will you have to go to work Thursday? Should we all just pack ourselves into our cars and drive to Georgia?

The same goes for most events scheduled for later this week and the weekend: Organizers of the biggest gatherings have told New Times that most planned activities are still, well, planned — with changes and cancellations to be determined as the storm approaches.

Friday

III Points: LCD Soundsystem has canceled its appearance; all other events are set to run as scheduled.
Sounds of Motown at Magic City Casino: No changes.
Open House: "The Pursuit of Abstraction" at the Wolfsonian: Postponed till Friday, October 14, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Hand to God at GableStage: Will run as scheduled
VeritageMiami Interactive Dinner: Postponed; Organizers say it's being rescheduled for sometime this spring.
Robert Buschel, Soman Chainani, and Coral Gables Gallery Night Opening at Books & Books: Canceled

Arsht Center's 10th Birthday Party: All events are set to run as scheduled.

Perspectiv Miami at Macaya Gallery: No changes.
Miami FC vs. Rayo OKC at Ocean Bank Field at FIU Stadium: The game will run as scheduled
Dade Heritage Trust bus tour of endangered Miami sites: Postponed. New date TBD.
Ultracon of South Florida: All events are set to run as scheduled

Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU: Closed Thursday and Friday.
Pérez Art Museum Miami: Open Friday during regular hours.
The Wolfsonian-FIU: Closed Thursday and Friday
HistoryMiami: Closed beginning at noon Wednesday, through Friday.
Miami Dade College's Museum of Art + Design: Closed beginning at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Reopening date TBD.
Institute of Contemporary Art: Closed Thursday. Will reopen Friday at 11 a.m.
Museum of Contemporary Art: No closures currently planned; see Thursday for "Syzygy" exhibit opening postponement
Jungle Island: Closed Thursday and Friday
Florida International University: Concerts, home games, and all other events have been canceled for Thursday and Friday. Weather permitting, libraries and wellness and recreation centers will reopen Friday.
Frost Art Museum: Closed beginning at 5 p.m. Wednesday through Tuesday, Oct. 11.
Books & Books locations: Closed Thursday.
Bass Museum: All museum operations canceled for Thursday and Friday.
Locust Projects: Closed at 4 p.m. Wednesday through Thursday.
Coral Gables Art Cinema: Closed Thursday.
Miami Children's Museum: Closed Thursday. Open Friday at 10 a.m.
Coral Gables Museum: Closed Thursday and Friday.
