Since Lincoln Center already laid claim to the more assonantal title “Mostly Mozart” for its annual festival celebrating the music of the Salzburgian wunderkind, the Coral Gables Cultural Affairs Council went with the almost-as-good Mainly Mozart. But it’s more or less the same bag of wigs: multiple Mozart concerts over a period of a couple of weeks with a little bit of Mendelssohn thrown in for good measure.

Immodest publication that we are, Miami New Times has chosen one show above all others: this Sunday afternoon’s 4:30 p.m. performance of Amadeus’s violin sonatas, featuring Ania and Piotr Filochowska in the string section and Geoffrey Loff tickling the ivories. But really, Mozart is like Michael Bolton. You have to celebrate the man’s entire catalogue, so be sure to visit mainlymozart.com to get the entire schedule of seven concerts at the Westin Colonnade that seldom feature anyone except the man they call Wolfgang. Tickets cost $100 for the entire series or $20 per performance.
