Pop culture has long relied on young women as a source of material. You’ve got your Gossip Girls, your Gallery Girls, your Bad Girls Club, and of course the HBO series Girls. You’ve got novels like Gone Girl, The Girls, and Kiss the Girls. You’ve heard about girls on film, girls who just want to have fun, West End girls, and bad girls.
Who runs the world? Girls.
Local writer, editor, and publisher Ily Goyanes has added to the stack her own ode to the girls of the world: Girls Who Score: Hot Lesbian Erotica, a tome of girl-on-girl action with a twist: These aren’t just any girls getting it on. They’re girl athletes, with all the muscle tone and dexterity the title implies. Let’s just say you haven’t seen girls like these before.
The book launches Thursday with a party at Eleazar Delgado Studio (2703 NW Second Ave., Miami), offering free drinks, beats by DJ Maximus 3000, and a live reading from the book by writer and activist Deborah Magdalena, organizer of the SWAN Spoken Soul Festival.
