A South Florida August is like a New England March: We finally start to see the end of the bad-weather months. September is a more outdoor-friendly time, when two wheels begin to look a lot more appealing than four. Celebrate the end of summer and the onset of the breezy cycling season with drinks and guaranteed fun at the second Beer Snob Bicycle Pub Crawl.
This Saturday at 4 p.m., fans of Oktoberfest brews and actual exercise will gather at Zekes Roadhouse, where almost any beer costs $4. The ride will then wind toward the Abbey Brewing Co., the Filling Station, and the DRB. So for fuel, use beer instead of oil, AKA decomposing dinosaurs. The ride is 21 and over. Remember, safety first, so BYO bike lock and light.
