If you're even remotely into fitness, it's likely you get tired of the usual suspects: spinning, boot camp, CrossFit, yadda, yadda. Same old sweaty lineup. Dullsville. Lots of people end up abandoning their workout routines out of sheer boredom.

Luckily, Miami's has some newer fitness additions that make burning calories a lot more entertaining.

Skyfitness/Skyrobics

Trampolines are everything. And the fact that trampoline parks are a thing is a bright spot in this often bleak world. In addition to their outstanding entertainment value, tramps can facilitate a hell of a workout. Dubbed SkyRobics, Sky Zone's fitness classes are low impact adventures combining calisthenics, core exercises and strength-building aerobics. Fitness in flight.

Da Vinci BodyBoard

Move over Pilates Reformer, the Da Vinci Bodyboard is an even more versatile fitness contraption. The board, equipped with bands and straps, can be used in an almost infinite combination of intense exercises. Designed for quick, 30-minute cardio slash strength workouts, the isometrically-inclined classes focus on small movements and muscle burn. I Am Equilibrium, a new holistic health, wellness and fitness studio, is the only place in town where you can try this particular workout. OH, and they offer laughter yoga, too!

Aerial and AcroYoga

Yoga's great and all, but there's something about being airborne that makes it even more amazing. Enter aerial yoga, where participants use a fabric hammock to make their way into positions. It makes inversions a heck of a lot easier -- and basically eliminates that pesky fear of losing your balance and falling on your face. Then there's AcroYoga, a three-way (so to speak) combo of partner-based yoga, acrobatics and Thai massage. Trio Yoga offers several classes a week of each.

Barre Classes

We've all seen the tight, toned bods of ballerinas. Clearly, whatever they're doing is working. Using various dance positions, barre is an intense workout based on isometric principles -- basically, isolating muscles using small pulses and high repetitions. Called sexy and transformational, it's a workout designed to sculpt long, lean muscles. Newly opened barre slash yoga studio Pulse163 has a whole lineup of classes from pulse cardio barre to JBody barre and more.

Krav Maga

While this certainly isn't a "new" exercise, it may be new to you. Developed for the Israeli military, this self-defense system is the ultimate melting pot of martial arts. Using techniques from boxing, savate, Muay Thai, Wing Chun, Judo, jiu-jitsu, wrestling, and grappling -- plus realistic fight training. Focused on real-world situations and efficient counter-attacks, it's an unforgettable workout experience. SoBe Kick kickboxing studio schools eager visitors in the art. They also teach Plyo-box, TKO Boxing, Muay Thai and other interesting stuff.
