Monday
  • Civic Hack Night at the LAB Miami: Join Code for Miami for its 2016 kickoff into coding. 
Tuesday
  • Yoga Class at José Martí Park: Start 2016 with some much-needed movement, led by a certified yoga teacher. 

Wednesday
  • The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies at SoundScape: Dive into Middle-earth with Peter Jackson's latest epic. 
  • Deborah Graham at Books & Books: Psychic Graham presents her new book, Get Your Head Out of Your App: A Psychic's Guide to Attracting and Keeping True Love.
  • FP Sketch at Fashion Project: Sketch a masterpiece inspired by Fashion Project's latest exhibition, "Anniversary," under the guidance of visual artist Carlos Prado.
Thursday
  • Ambassador Dennis Ross at Temple Beth Am: Author of The Missing Peace, Ross will discuss his latest book, Doomed to Succeed, a comprehensive look at the U.S.-Israel relationship. 
  • Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training Course at MDFR Training Center: This three-day training class teaches participants how to conduct safety assessments and employ basic treatments for various injuries and apply splints to suspected fractures and sprains. 

Friday
  • 2016 YoungArts Week - Visual Arts, Photography & Design Exhibition Opening at YoungArts: Celebrate YoungArts' 35th anniversary with National YoungArts Week, the organization’s signature program welcoming 160 YoungArts Finalists to Miami.
  • Rachel Harrison at BassX: Don't miss an exhibit of Harrison's photo series Voyage of the Beagle, Two (2008) — a study of “modern-day menhirs” the artist discovered in sources such as pop-culture kitsch, animals, and public sculptures — which closes this Sunday.
