Happy Monday, Miami. Now that all the Easter fuzzies and family time are behind us, it's time to get back to the daily grind. Luckily, the week is full of music, movies, karaoke, and other free fun to tide you over until the weekend returns. 

Monday
  • Silvia Betti at Books & Books: Assistant professor of language, literature, and cultures Silvia Betti presents European Visions on Spanglish, a look at the English-Spanish hybrid language and its social and cultural history in the United States. 
  • Adolfo Mena Cejas at Gramps: The Cuban filmmaker will present two of his award-winning short films — Nani & Tati and Miénteme Bien, Jackie Chang (Be a Good Liar, Jackie Chang).
Tuesday
  • Electric Piquete at Ball & Chain: Catch one of Miami's best Latin funk bands perform a tribute to jazz legend Herbie Hancock.
