From models to designers, styles to colors, the world of fashion is a fickle one. Nothing is guaranteed even 15 minutes of play; as the incomparable Heidi Klum says on Project Runway: “You’re either in, or you’re out.” But one thing never changes, and that’s where fashionistas go to find out what’s hot. For the past 50 years, the Ebony Fashion Fair has held eyeglasses up to the faces of savvy chic-chasers everywhere.

Since the fair’s birth, at shows aptly titled “Colorballo” and “Fashion Rebellion,” models have stormed the runway in designs from the world’s biggest designers. This year’s show, “Glam Odyssey: A Fashion Journey into Bliss & Beyond,” promises to awe catwalk stalkers. “Glam Odyssey” tells the story of five decades of fashion, through 13 stunning models and designers including Oscar de la Renta, Christian Dior, and Dolce & Gabbana. So tonight at 8 at the BankUnited Center, you’ll not only see what’s hot, but also learn how to revamp your style without throwing away all of those shoulder-padded blazers.
