October 2 — An Exquisite Evening Hosted by Champagne Krug & Toys for Boys
On what was a magical fall evening under the stars, Champagne Krug and Toys for Boys Magazine brought a taste of Reims to South Beach with an intimate dinner at the Sandbox at The Miami Beach EDITION. A spectacularly set table played host to a slew of VIP guests that enjoyed Krug champagne in its many different incarnations as paired to complement each course. From oysters and Grande Cuvée en magnum to a braised short rib paired with Krug Rosé, the offerings were plentiful and quite particular in their pairing. And since the flights ranged in age from a Clos d’Amonnay 2000 to a recreated 2004 Grande Cuvée, guests were walked through an education on Champagne Krug by none other than Margareth Henriquez: the first Hispanic woman to head up the House of Krug as President and CEO. The Venezuelan-born Harvard graduate has a real grasp on the world of luxury and the levels of quality that set the standard making the evening’s partnership with Toys for Boys an obvious marriage based on the appreciate of real luxury. An illuminated Krug sign revealed itself as a golden glow that shone on the acoustic band, which provided private entertainment for the specially curated group of twenty.
