If you’re on Collins Avenue between now and February 21 and you see a bicycle roll by decorated with 24-karat gold spikes, Swarovski crystals, nickel plating, and giant speakers, call the police. That’s not just any custom job; that’s the work of Carlos Rolon, AKA Dzine, and it’s been stolen from his solo show at the Bass Museum.

Of course, we can’t really blame anyone for coveting one of Dzine’s hood-inspired creations. The unparalleled vision and craftsmanship are why he is a winner of the Joan Mitchell Foundation Award and is repped by topnotch galleries such as Deitch Projects in New York and SCAI the Bathhouse in Tokyo. But looky-looky only, Holmes — no touchy. The Bass is open noon to 5 p.m. General admission costs $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and students with ID.
