FRI 8/13 Driving, chipping, and putting. It's amazing to see a 4-year-old, who is most likely shorter than his wood, tee off with a beautifully arched 100-yard drive. It puts some of us to shame. But there are children who can do this. At the 25th Annual Palmetto Junior Golf Open, kids aged 3 to 12 will be facing off on greens and sand traps, driving ranges and water bunkers. Be prepared to be impressed. There is sure to be a Tiger Woods in the making. Tee-off time is 9:00 a.m. at Briar Bay Golf Course, 9373 SW 134th St. Admission is free.
