After three short months of the off-season, the Miami Heat is back to defend its 2013 NBA Championship. It seems like just yesterday when Ray Allen knocked down the most important three-pointer in Heat history, propelling the team to back-to-back championships. This Tuesday, the 2013-14 campaign begins to capture yet another world title led by LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh, along with an amazingly strong supporting cast assembled by Heat president Pat Riley.
To make things that much sweeter, they’ll be celebrating their championship right in the face of one of their biggest rivals: the Chicago Bulls. The Heat will rub its successes in the face of a team — led by all-star crybaby Derrick Rose and fake tough guy Joakim Noah — that year after year deludes itself into thinking it can run with the champs. Of course, when the Bulls got their chance, they could manage only a single win in a seven-game playoff series two years ago.
