Funkmaster Flex is more than a DJ. The man who first made his name a decade ago as the on-air voice for the blossoming hip-hop scene in New York has managed to parlay his influence into a multimedia career that successfully combines his two major passions: hip-hop and tricked-out whips. In fact Flex has been dubbed "the evangelist of hip-hop car culture" by none less than the New York Times. He is the host of Ride with Funkmaster Flex, a show on Spike TV that features the professionally pimped vehicles of ostentatious ballers. He designed a driving shoe for Lugz, and now this vehicular celebrity is taking his show on the road. Come one, come all to the Funkmaster Flex Celebrity Concert and Car Show for cool rides, hot musical performances, and special celebrity guests.

Anyone who has seen Ride with Funkmaster Flex knows that the erstwhile DJ is more impressed with a fully restored vintage Chevy than a brand-new Maybach. So expect the celebrity cars on display -- owned by the likes of Missy Elliott, 50 Cent, Jay-Z, and Mariah Carey -- to be distinctive works of automotive art. The winner of the Best of Show contest will walk away with a cool $2000. Competition categories include Best Domestic Modern Muscle, Best Lowrider, and Best ICE (that's In Car Entertainment, for you car-culture novices). Flex is even showing love for those who tool around on two wheels, so expect to see the winners of Best Sport Bike and Best Lowrider Bicycle popping happy wheelies in the parking lot. The array of automobiles will be impressive, but the musical lineup is even more so. With live performances by Mike Jones, Young Jeezy, Paul Wall, Pitbull, and Trina, this car show will be getting crunk after the competition is over.
