October is almost here, which means one very important occasion is on the way: Oktoberfest. For anyone who’s into getting sauced, this annual ode to all things brew is a shining start to the holiday season. And for the first time, Fado Irish Pub and Z Events are teaming up for Brick-toberfest, an early version of the epic event. This craft-beer-tasting soiree and street party will feature live music, DJs, beer competitions, contests, games, and all kinds of eats from Brickell-area restaurants such as Brother Jimmy’s BBQ, the Oceanaire Seafood Room, and Burger & Beer Joint. As far as brews go, there will be more than 75 on hand from brewers including Shock Top, Goose Island, Red Hook, Kona, Sweetwater, Cigar City, plus cider and wine. Pours will come a hefty five ounces at a time, so you can basically drink your weight in liquid refreshments. Should make for a helluva start to October.
