In the late Nineties, long before becoming the greatest professional tennis player of all time, a pimply-faced Roger Federer played in the Junior Orange Bowl (JOB) International Tennis Championship and won. Earlier in that decade, 16-year-old Tiger Woods did the same at the JOB golf tournament — years before he was running from an enraged, golf-club-swinging wife and gaggle of hoochie mommas. Actually, it’s difficult to find top professionals in either sport who haven’t participated in JOB junior championships. Held every year in Miami, both tournaments have been around since the early Sixties as proving ground for the best junior talent from around the world.
