Woman Abducted from Mansion Nightclub and Raped
Police need your help identifying this man.
Police are searching for a man who possibly drugged and abducted a woman from the popular Mansion nightclub in South Beach in March and then drove her to a motel in Westchester to rape her. The man also stole his victim's credit cards but was caught on video when he tried to use one at an ATM.
The 24-year-old woman was out at Mansion on 1235 Washington Ave. in Miami Beach on Saturday, March 26, but doesn't remember much of the night. Police believe that her attacker may have drugged her by slipping something in her drink.
"We don't know exactly what was used, because it doesn't appear she was completely coherent," Miami-Dade Police Detective Roy Rutland told The Miami Herald.
The man then forced the woman out of the night club against her will and drove her to the La Fuente Hotel on SW Eight Street and 74th Avenue. He then raped her.
The attacker then stole the woman's credit card and began to use them at various shops on Coral Way. Though, his image was captured when he tried to use a card at an ATM.
Police described the man as a white Hispanic male, between the ages of 30 and 40, with short dark hair and a medium build. He was last seen driving a beige Jeep Cherokee or Grand Cherokee.
Anyone with information on the crime or the attacker's identity is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
