LolCats are unstoppable. In a world where Internet memes have an average lifespan of 3.47 hours before they're deemed "old newz", the LolCats have managed to endure. They've spawned a book, and now they're staging what will surely be the most important and revelatory art show of all time ever. Its going to have Art Basel saying "Noooo, they be stealin' my thunder".

I Can Has Cheezburger, the HQ of the LolCat army, just put out a call for submissions for a captioned kittah-inspired art show scheduled for Oct. 23rd in San Francisco. Riptide would love to see some local artists represented in this very important, very serious art forum. Ok, it's not exactly on a Saatchi Gallery level, but all proceeds do go to charity. Plus, ICHC hints that it may become a traveling exhibit if there's demand, so if there's any gallery who hasn't a thing to hang on their wall for Basel, ask if you can has cheezburger.
