After a six-year layoff, Peter Thomass How Can I Be Down? conference returns to South Beach. How Can I Be Down? is the largest urban music seminar in the world and (for a $300 registration fee) will purportedly teach industry novices how to navigate hip-hops shark-infested waters. Theres a ton of panels throughout the four-day festival, as well as an old-school jam at Mansion on Sunday with Nice & Smooth, Slick Rick, and Doug E. Fresh. For all those who thirst to be down, heres your chance.
